Dynamax has created three new transpiration, leaf canopy monitoring systems. Each system observes the IRT leaf canopy and the weather and produces data for precision ag management. Crop water stress index (CWSI) and degrees above non stressed (DAN) plant stress models are available to determine if, and when, your crops need irrigation, stress from deficit, or high ambient temperatures.
The DynaMet-2 is a complete ETp (Evapotranspiration) weather station which included the DynaLog300 data logger and the MaxiMet 500 compact weather station kit. The rainfall sensor included is the TE525, which is a very rugged and accurate rainfall sensor. A soil temperature probe is also included. The system comes with all software for programming, data collection, and calculation of ETp. The DynaMet-2 is a low-cost, research grade, weather station ideal for research, commercial, or agricultural applications. Comes complete with a 6 ft Tripod, cross-arm, grounding kit, rechargeable battery and 10 Watt solar panel.
The InteliMet Advantage 5 is a complete ETp (Evapotranspiration) weather station which included the DynaLog300 data logger and the MaxiMet 500 compact weather station kit. The system comes with all software for programming, data collection, and calculation of ETp. A battery and solar panel, grounding kit, and lightning rod kit are also included. The InteliMet 5 is low-cost weather station ideal for research, commercial, or agricultural applications. The system comes ready to mount on a 2” rigid pipe, or tripod.
The SapIP wireless data logging system from Dynamax, Inc., with EXO or Dynagage sap flow sensors, can be used to measure plant water use in “real-time” with no calibration. The SapIP gateway can monitor up to (25) SapIP nodes with (2) sap flow sensors each. The nodes can be located up to 5,000 feet away from the gateway module. Data is collected and analyzed through the Dynamax website for easy monitoring and data download.
The Thermal Dissipation Probe (TDP) transpiration sensor measures sap velocity which is converted to volumetric flow rate. TDP is a simple and affordable device originally proposed by Granier. The basic TDP probe has two thermocouple needles inserted in the sapwood, the upper one containing an electric heater. The probe needles measure the temperature difference (dT) between the heated needle and the sapwood ambient temperature below. The dT variable and the maximum dTm at zero flow provide a direct conversion to sap velocity.
In Dynamax’s continuing efforts to improve our sap flow technologies, we introduce the SGDC sap flow sensor. This new sensor requires only (2) data logger channels, which allows for twice as many sensors to be connected to the data logger. The basic principles of operation for the SGDC are the same as the tried and proven heat balance method used by our other sap flow sensors.
The Dynagage Sap Flow Sensors are the latest technology for measuring the sap flow, and thus the water consumption of plants. These energy balance sensors measure the amount of heat carried by the sap which is converted into Real-Time sap flow in grams or kilograms per hour. The sensors are non-intrusive and not harmful since the plants are heated up 1° C to 5° C typically.
Patent US 8590373 B1
After more than 25 years of experience and a worldwide experience with sap flow sensor manufacturing and design, the Dynamax team brings you the latest innovations and sap flow sensor construction advancements. With continuous customer feedback over the years, and through several years of research, we solved many of the commercial and research needs for a more plant friendly and user-friendly sap flow sensor. We improved the longevity, reliability and accuracy with commercial irrigation applications in mind.
The LEAF-STATE-ANALYZER LSA-2050 is a handheld device for non-invasive leaf analysis. The device analyses three areas that are related to the state of health of the plant: (1) the extent of protection from ultraviolet and strong visible radiation, (2) the chlorophyll concentration, and (3) the maximum photochemical quantum yield of photosystem II, FV/FM. In summary, the LEAF-STATE-ANALYZER LSA-2050 provides a picture of stress effects and a plant's ability to cope with stress.
The IMAGING-PAM family comprises the versions MAXI, MINI and MICROSCOPY. The different versions employ the same Multi Control Unit IMAG-CG. Also, the same camera can be used for different versions. This modularity permits easy and most cost-effective switching between various applications and magnifications provided by the IMAGING-PAM M-Series.
The MAXI and MINI versions can be combined with the Gas-Exchange System GFS-3000 and, thus, integrates detailed spatial information on photosynthesis with exact analysis of photosynthetic carbon fixation.
Most recently, an advanced method to create three-dimensional plant images has been added to the MAXI version. This new configuration opens the way to project data of fluorescence analysis on the three-dimensional plant image so that photosynthesis can be analyzed in the context of whole plant architecture.
The HEXAGON-IMAGING-PAM represents the largest Walz Imaging System available. Despite the large measuring area, the instrument is still flexible enough to measure a wide variety of samples. These include individually potted plants, seedlings in larger plant trays, or harvested samples of higher or lower plants.
It can measure areas of 20 x 24 cm with a resolution of up to 1000 x 1200 px (2x2 binning), according to the PAM principle with highest accuracy.
In contrast to the significantly smaller MAXI Imaging System, the HEXAGON-IMAGING-PAM offers 4 times the measuring area of the smaller MAXI-IMAGING-PAM and up to 1.2 MP image resolution (binning switched off).
This high resolution results in a pixel size of 100 x 100 µm.
During the design process, we placed special emphasis on the shadow-free, uniform illumination of the measuring area and designed the cooling of the panels very efficiently for a long service life of the LEDs.
Immediately after its market launch, the DUAL-PAM-100 became the gold standard for parallel recording of photosystem II and photosystem I activities. The DUAL-PAM-100 excels by its outstanding opto-electronical properties which are based on the use of latest-generation components and precision engineering.
